Andy Guerrero is the current label head of CAM Records. He is also a professor at CU Denver's Music and Entertainment Industry Studies program. He teaches many classes including the school's CAM Records class!
Andy started his first band while still in high school, and he got his first taste of the rock-and-roll hustle by encouraging friends—including aspiring rappers Stephen Brackett and Jamie Laurie—to see his band’s early gigs. These days, Guerrero, Brackett and Laurie are better known by their Flobots names, Andy Rok, Brer Rabbit and Jonny 5. Along with Mackenzie Gault, Jesse Walker and Kenny Ortiz, the group has turned its musical prowess into a wildly popular hip-hop band. When they’re not onstage, they’re building a Denver nonprofit designed to channel their fame and good fortune into grassroots organizing.
Colleen Rowbottom - Marketing Department Head
I've been into music pretty much since I could understand what it was. Its been the only thing in my life that I've been consistently passionate about, I truly believe that creation, in any form, is the most powerful force in the world. Outside of school I'm usually with my dog somewhere in the mountains.
Cassie Cowan - Promotions & Publicity Department Head
My friend's mom was a promoter at Fiddlers Green when I was growing up. I was able to follow her around and see what happens behind the scenes at a young age. I was hooked by the time I was 12. Seeing fans rocking out and forgetting their troubles makes me extremely happy, regardless of whos playing. Music seems to be the only good thing in the world sometimes, I like to keep the good times rollin'. I am the Venue and Transpo Operations Manager for The Mishawaka Amphitheatre and Co-Owner of Plus One Management.
Outside of music, I am a foster mom for troubled doggies and animal trainer for Good Dog Walking and Sitting. I am a Jiu-Jitsu White Belt and enjoy traveling and cooking for my friends.
Alexa Brown - Distribution Department Head
My major is music business and I am in the distribution department. I wanted to pursue music because it is the only thing I have cared about my entire life enough to want to spend the rest of my life doing. I enjoy going to concerts (I go to WAYYY too many). I also enjoy going to sporting events in my free time.
A&R Department Head - Mackenzie Bolte
I am a fourth-year student in CU Denver's Music Business program with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. From a young age, I was interested in singing in pursuing a career in music, and eventually I began to focus on the logistics of the music industry and was lucky enough to find CU Denver's program in my very own backyard. Eventually, I would like to pursue a career in Publishing and music Sync for TV and Film.
Andrea Pazos - Creative Department Head
Growing up I was always involved in the arts starting with Dance when I was 3. My parents introduced the business mindset to us young as they ran a business out of our house. This mindset stuck with me as I broadened my horizons to music performance, which is what I did my first 2 years of college. I never really fit in to the performance scene because my business mindset always set me apart. I truly believe in gaining personal success from facilitating the success of others which is what led me to the business side of the industry. Helping others succeed means I have succeeded. Out of school I am a hard working/crafting mommy and wife.
