"It’s been a busy year for One Flew West, an alt-rock band featuring a horn section and high-octane live shows. These students are working hard to create a new reality for themselves – in large and small ways. Whether it be bucking the trend that a typical work day has to start at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m.; or that larger systems need major changes to make education available to all; or to create awareness and movement to make the act of getting a government-issued ID easier for those who have been adopted – these students are thinking critically, acting and making a difference.

6. "Had It All" — One Flew West
Indie rock gets a bad rap in this town where the only buzz seems to be around hipsters in suspenders or freaks with synths, but One Flew West is bringing it back, and bringing it back well with the “Had It All” video. An obvious spoof of the “Too Many Cooks” nightmare of a video (which takes place in Denver if the opening shot is to be believed). The band makes you giggle while blasting through one of the better indie-rock songs in recent times. You can check it out Here.
Denver band One Flew West, who signed with CU Denver’s own CAM Records, recently released the music video “Had It All,” shot with the help of CU Denver students.
“We did the shoot over two days in December,” said David Di Salvo, the band’s lead guitarist and supporting vocalist. “It was really great getting to see all of the students work together and each play an important role in the video. Some College of Arts and Media students were even actors in the video and turned out to be way better actors than us.”
