Dualistics
Dualistics is a progressive pop band from Denver, CO. Starting originally as a recording project by Jimmy Stofer (bass) and Scott Russell (drums) in late 2006, the additions of Charley Hine and Tyler Despres (guitars and vocals) helped complete the band allowing them to play live. Blending equal parts grunge, prog-rock and pop sensibility, Dualistics has recorded 2 E.P.s (Long Tail EP - 2007, Dualistics - 2009).
In Spring of 2009 Nate Barnes (drums) started playing with the group. The current lineup is working on new material for an upcoming release later this year.
Recordings: The latest Dualistics release, a 6 track E.P. titled "Dualistics", is a true guitar record with darker, heavier grooves. It is the most aggressive material the group has released to date with their influences in more technical writing and playing shining through.
As Dualistics they have played several sold-out shows with various national and international acts including Mike Watt, The Fray, Menomena, Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos, Polyphonic Spree, Tokyo Police Club, Marc Ford, and From Monument to Masses.
